The Netherlands is the first to approve Tesla's FSD autonomous driving software for road use, marking the first case in the European Union.
ME News, April 11th (UTC+8), according to the Dutch regulatory authority, FSD has received regulatory approval in the Netherlands, marking FSD’s first approval in the European market. Tesla hopes other EU countries will take similar actions. Widespread adoption of FSD is central to Tesla’s growth strategy. A significant portion of the company’s current approximately $1 trillion valuation depends on Elon Musk’s bet that AI-driven autonomous driving software and robot taxis will become the company’s main revenue sources in the future.
