Lately, people have been asking who Bitcoin’s CEO is. But the question itself is pretty interesting. Bitcoin has no CEO, but its creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, has quietly become the world’s most mysterious billionaire.

Just saw some data: now BTC is fluctuating around $73K, but when you look back at the all-time high of $126K, the account value of Satoshi’s 1.1M coins once exceeded $134B. What does that mean? He just sits silently in the top 15 of the world’s wealth ranking, even surpassing Dell’s CEO Michael Dell and Walmart heir Rob Walton. Keep in mind, he has never sold a single coin, and he has never publicly revealed his identity—he simply created an ecosystem worth trillions out of thin air.

The most crazy part is that all of Satoshi’s coins came from early mining before 2010, and after that, he never touched them again. It’s been 16 years. Some say he has passed away; others say he just wants to keep his distance, but no one truly knows. This is completely different from those traditional wealthy people who made their fortunes through fundraising, going public, or founding companies. He changed the entire world with just a piece of code.

Recently, Bitcoin has set another new high, mainly because ETF funds have continued to flow in, and institutional demand is strong. From 2011, the year of Satoshi’s last statement, to now, Bitcoin has transformed from a geek toy into a part of global asset allocation. This alone says everything.

What’s interesting is that although Satoshi’s wealth already appears on paper to exceed that of many people, those coins have never moved. So what exactly is real wealth? Sometimes, it’s really hard to say.
