Tech Home, March 13th News, local time Thursday, Disney announced the launch of a vertical video feature called “Verts” for Disney+ subscribers in the United States. Some users will find a brand-new content entry point in their mobile app.

According to the introduction, the Verts feature was first showcased at Disney’s 2026 Global Technology and Data Expo. Users can tap the new Verts icon in the navigation bar of the mobile app to access a vertical video feed interface, where they can browse exciting moments from films and TV shows on Disney+ by scrolling up and down, and seamlessly add content to their watchlist or jump directly to the full video.

Disney stated that whether through early experiments on Disney+ or since its launch on the ESPN app last August, Verts has successfully increased user engagement. This is largely thanks to a new advanced algorithm powering the recommendation engine for this experience, ensuring that Verts provides each user with content that is uniquely relevant and personalized.

IT Home notes that Disney also emphasized that the launch of this new feature is just the beginning — they describe it as “the first act of a multi-season series.”

According to the introduction, Disney is actively exploring and trying to expand beyond content discovery. In the future, Verts may include content from other creators that reflect the areas fans love, as well as more narrative formats, content types, and personalized experiences.
