Fiber optic export volume and prices rise together, with the Communication ETF Guotai (515880) up 1.5%, one-click deployment of optical modules + servers + copper links + fiber optics
Fiber optic exports rise in both volume and price. On April 1st, the Communication ETF Guotai (515880) increased by 1.5%, with a one-click setup for optical modules, servers, copper links, and fiber optics.
CITIC Construction Investment points out that in February this year, China’s fiber optic exports saw simultaneous growth in volume and price. Overseas buyers are actively purchasing Chinese-made fiber optics, and Chinese fiber optic suppliers are in a “no worries about sales” situation. The demand for fiber optics is driven by overseas telecom networks, AI, drones, and other sectors, continuously pushing up prices, and the industry is in a high prosperity cycle. Currently, the telecommunications industry is benefiting from the dual dividends of AI technology-driven development and new infrastructure policies. The computing power industry chain remains a core focus with high prosperity, with computing power and chips being the fundamental backbone of AI industry development, as well as the main investment themes amid the current high prosperity and high growth in the telecom sector.
Looking beyond 2027, the AI wave continues to boost demand for computing power. Technologies like fiber entering cabinets and CPO are steadily expanding the market size for optical products. The Guotai Communication ETF (515880) has a high core component concentration, with a combined weight exceeding 75% in optical modules, servers, fiber optics, and copper links, reflecting the fundamental prosperity of overseas computing power. In the secondary market, it achieved a 125.81% increase by 2025. In 2026, amid this historic opportunity in AI, it is expected to maintain strong performance. Interested investors may continue to monitor.
