People’s Finance News, April 8: On April 8, Meituan’s Senior Vice President Li Shubin said at the 2026 China Foodservice Franchise Chain Summit that the way users make decisions is changing—they are becoming more cautious, looking more closely, and placing more trust in “fresh voices.” As a result, the foodservice industry has entered the “trust competition” era, and “real word-of-mouth” has become a long-term asset. “The most important thing for valuing review assets is not how many there are, but whether they are real.” Li Shubin added, “Let consumers know who you are and how you operate in the shortest possible time. This real situation can filter customers, and then a positive feedback loop can be formed.” Li Shubin revealed that in 2025, more than 450 million new real reviews were added on Dianping.
