Solid-state batteries have entered the critical phase of engineering validation, and the Battery ETF Jiashi(562880) is attracting significant capital attention.
In the early trading session of April 7, 2026, the lithium battery sector fluctuated as it built momentum. As of 11:25, the CSI Battery Theme Index was down 0.08%. Among constituent stocks, gains and losses were mixed: Defu Technology led the pack up 3.20%, Rongbai Technology rose 2.59%, and EVE Intelligent also rose 2.59%. Nawang Technology lagged the most; Keda Li and Zhenyu Technology followed lower.
On the news front, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is organizing the drafting of the “15th Five-Year Plan” new battery development plan. Solid-state batteries have entered a critical phase for engineering verification. Prolific New Energy announced that in 2026 it will complete a 100-megawatt-hour pilot line for all-solid-state batteries, with industrialization progress clearly accelerating. BOC International Securities noted that technological iteration is moving from the laboratory to the production line; coordinated breakthroughs in the material system, manufacturing processes, and equipment are accelerating. Verification progress from related materials and equipment companies will become an important observation window in the next stage.
In addition, European new energy vehicle sales have continued to grow strongly. On February 9 in the nine-country period, sales reached 219k units, up 27.8% year over year. Penetration increased to 30.0%. Among them, subsidy policies in major markets such as Germany, France, Italy, and Spain continued or were restarted, and combined with a new round of new vehicle cycles, the trend toward electrification has been further strengthened. Open-source Securities pointed out that although the EU has adjusted its 2035 emissions-reduction target, it is tilting toward small electric vehicles through the “super points” mechanism, and it is strengthening constraints on companies regarding the share of zero-emission vehicles in their fleets. This will materially promote growth in electric vehicle sales, and lithium battery and materials segments are expected to continue benefiting.
Data show that as of March 31, 2026, the top ten weighted stocks of the CSI Battery Theme Index (931719) are, respectively, Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL), Sungrow Power Supply, Sanhua Intelligent Controls, EVE Energy, TCI, EVE Intelligent, Deye Shares, Greenway, Hengtai Shares, and Gotion High-Tech. The combined share of the top ten weighted stocks is 49.82%.
