Apple's (AAPL.US)'s first foldable iPhone begins trial production, expected to be launched in the second half of the year.
Zhitong Finance APP learned that, according to media reports, industry chain insiders disclosed to the media that Foxconn has been conducting pilot production of Apple (AAPL.US) foldable-screen iPhones. In addition, in 2025, supply-chain companies revealed that Apple’s shipment target guidance provided to its suppliers is for the first foldable-screen phone to be launched in the second half of 2026—a large foldable-screen iPhone.
According to earlier reports, on March 12, it was confirmed that Apple’s first foldable-screen phone, the iPhone Fold, will be released this September together with the iPhone 18 Pro series. It will be Apple’s most expensive mobile phone product.
