Odaily Planet Daily News: During an event at the White House, U.S. President Trump told the media about Iran, saying that Tuesday (April 7), U.S. Eastern Time, is the final deadline—“cannot be changed.” Trump again emphasized that “Iran cannot have nuclear weapons,” saying that during his first term, it tore up the Iran nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, assassinated the then commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-affiliated “Quds Force,” Qasem Soleimani, thereby “preventing Israel from being erased from the map.” Trump insisted that Iran has undergone a “regime change,” saying that the Iranian leadership now negotiating with the United States is “more reasonable.” But he also said, “They (Iran) just won’t admit defeat, but they will eventually back down—if they don’t back down, they will have nothing.”

Trump also said that if it were up to him, he would “take (Iran’s) oil,” because “oil is within reach, and they (Iran) can’t do anything about it.” Trump said, “Unfortunately, the American people want us to come back home—if it were up to me, I would take the oil, I would claim the oil as my own, and I would make a lot of money.” When asked by reporters, “Since the U.S. side has claimed multiple times that Iran’s military power has been destroyed, why is the fighting still ongoing?”, Trump said, “They (Iran) still have some missiles, they still have some drones. They’re lucky—they shot down one (U.S.) aircraft.” (CCTV International News)
