Having spent many years in the contract market and experienced both bull and bear markets, I have become increasingly aware of the essence of trading: the market is always right, and only those going against the trend are wrong. Contracts are not a gamble or speculation, but a contest of cognition, discipline, and temperament. The core difference between experts and novices lies in their reverence for risk and their adherence to rules.
The underlying logic of trading has never been about precisely predicting tops and bottoms, but about following the trend + risk control first. Leverage is a double-edged sword; high leverage and heavy positions are akin to going naked into battle. Over the years, I have always adhered to a light position principle, keeping total exposure within 10%, with no single trade exceeding 5%, using low leverage to withstand sudden market fluctuations. Survival comes first, then profit. Take profit and stop loss are the lifelines of trading. Before entering a position, define your profit and loss boundaries, enforce them strictly, avoid luck or stubbornly holding positions, and cutting losses allows profits to run.
It is also crucial to break the bad habit of frequent trading. The market is not short of opportunities; what’s lacking is patience to wait. When the trend is unclear, stay out of the market. Don’t chase highs or go against the trend. Only engage in opportunities within your understanding and certainty. The so-called experts are simply those who master simple rules to the extreme, using discipline to combat emotions, and patiently waiting for the right moment.
Remember, survival is more important than profit, and steadiness lasts longer than reckless gains. This is the ultimate mindset for contract trading. $BTC $ETH
