China Nuclear Power: First-quarter grid-connected electricity generation was 54.93B kWh, a year-on-year decrease of 2.7%
People’s Finance News, April 6—China National Nuclear Power (601985) issued an announcement on April 6. As of March 31, 2026, the company’s cumulative grid-connected operating generation for the first quarter of 2026 was 58.11B kWh, down 2.73% year over year; grid-connected electricity sold was 54.93B kWh, down 2.7% year over year. In the first quarter of 2026, the company’s nuclear power generating units recorded cumulative generation of 47.86B kWh, down 3.29% year over year; cumulative grid-connected electricity sold was 44.85B kWh, down 3.28% year over year. The main reason for the year-over-year declines in both generation and grid-connected electricity sold is that the number of days during which nuclear power generating units were under maintenance was higher than in the same period last year.
