On April 6, sources revealed that the final proposal for the US-Iran ceasefire agreement includes Iran abandoning its nuclear weapons in exchange for the lifting of sanctions and the unfreezing of assets. A consensus on the plan to end hostilities in the Middle East must be reached by Monday. If an agreement is reached, the plan will facilitate an immediate ceasefire, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and the achievement of a final agreement within 15 to 20 days. The Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan has held phone conversations with US Vice President Vance, Special Envoy Witkoff, and Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi. Both Iran and the US have received the plan to end hostilities, which consists of a two-tier agreement: first achieving a ceasefire, followed by the final agreement.
