New AI model can identify multiple neurodegenerative diseases through blood tests

Stockholm news: The University of Lund in Sweden recently announced that the university’s team has participated in the development of a new type of artificial intelligence (AI) model that can help identify multiple neurodegenerative diseases through a single blood test. The development provides new ideas for early screening and supportive diagnosis of related diseases. A press release issued by the University of Lund states that different neurodegenerative diseases often show similar symptoms in the early stages, and that age-related cognitive decline has relatively complex causes. In addition, multiple pathological processes that overlap with each other may also be present simultaneously in patients’ brains, further increasing the difficulty of clinical diagnosis. The related research results have been published in the United Kingdom’s Nature Medicine journal. (Xinhua News Agency)
