I just reviewed the crypto scam warnings and feel the need to share with everyone. What does scam mean? Simply put, it is an act of deception to steal assets, and in the cryptocurrency market, it happens daily with millions of potential victims.

The bad thing is that nowadays, scammers are becoming more sophisticated. The internet and technology have helped them scale their scams across many countries, making it harder than ever to control. When you fall into their trap, the community calls it being Scam — and unfortunately, many people don’t realize until it’s too late.

But what exactly does scam mean in crypto? There are many different forms you need to know. The most common type is Scam ICO — new projects that claim to be great, hire KOLs for advertising, promise huge returns, then after raising funds from the ICO, they run away with all the money. Warning signs include projects without clear solutions, sloppy websites, vague roadmaps, or anonymous teams with no experience.

There’s also the type of liquidity withdrawal (rug pull) that occurs on decentralized exchanges like Uniswap or PancakeSwap. At first, the project looks very professional, then they issue tokens and list them. But there are often signs: low liquidity, unreasonable high APY promises, or liquidity that can be easily drained.

I see many people still participate in Ponzi schemes even though they know what scam means — just because they’re after quick profits. But when enough people join, the system collapses and everyone loses money.

How to avoid? Do thorough research before investing. Check if the project really needs blockchain, what the community is like, and how the tokenomics work. Use tools to check smart contracts for signs of bad actors like holders or founders with suspicious activity. Most importantly, when connecting your wallet to a website, make sure it’s reputable and secure. After you no longer need it, revoke permissions to prevent misuse.

I want to emphasize again: scam simply means deception, and it can happen to anyone. Be vigilant, ask questions, and never let greed blind you. Wishing everyone safe and successful investments!
