Abstract generation in progress

ME News message, April 4 (UTC+8). The commander of Iran’s Joint Air Defense Command, Amirreza Elhamy, said on that day while inspecting Iran’s Army and Islamic Revolutionary Guard defensive positions that Iran, using newly developed methods and equipment it designed and built independently, “has made preparations to ambush the enemy’s fifth-generation fighter jets and advanced drones.” He said that in earlier battles, Iran’s air defense forces successfully shot down several of the enemy’s advanced fighter jets, as well as more than 160 drones including “MQ-9,” “Hermes,” “Lucas,” and other drones involved in the US-Israeli joint incursion, along with dozens of cruise missiles. Before the enemy launched its offensive operations, they took “timely and precise” actions. In addition, among the operations carried out by the Army and the air defense units of the Revolutionary Guard, multiple enemy fourth- and fifth-generation aircraft were hit, damaged, or crashed. Elhamy said that this achievement was made possible by the innovative application of advanced tactics, modernized equipment, and air defense systems, which threw the enemy into confusion.
