If you want to gain a deeper understanding of the financial world and the crises on Wall Street, financial movies are an excellent choice. I’ve just compiled a list of 6 movies that I find very worth watching.

Starting with The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), this film tells the story of a stockbroker living a luxurious life full of illegal ambitions. The story revolves around illegal stock transactions, corruption, and government intervention until everything collapses.

You might not know about the documentary Inside Job (2010), which delves into the root causes of the 2008 financial crisis. Very eye-opening and insightful.

The Big Short (2015) is equally captivating, following a group of visionary investors betting on the collapse of the U.S. mortgage market. This film helps you better understand what happened during the financial crisis.

Wall Street (1987) is a classic film about a young impatient stockbroker willing to do anything to reach the top, including illegal insider trading. He encounters a greedy and ruthless corporate raider.

Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room (2005) is a notable documentary about the Enron corporation, its wrongful business practices, corruption, and how they led to the company's complete collapse.

Finally, Too Big to Fail (2011) depicts the 2008 financial crisis, focusing on Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson’s role in managing the crisis.

All these financial movies offer deep insights into how the financial system operates and the hidden risks behind it. If you’re interested in this field, they are truly worth watching.
