Iranian military: Ready to ambush enemy advanced fighters

ME News update, on April 4 (UTC+8), Iran’s Air Defense Joint Command commander Ali Reza Erhami said that while inspecting Iran’s Army and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps defensive positions that day, Iran had used newly developed methods and equipment to be “ready to ambush the enemy’s fifth-generation fighter jets and advanced unmanned drones.” He said that in earlier engagements, Iran’s air defense forces successfully shot down several of the enemy’s advanced fighter jets, as well as more than 160 drones including “MQ-9,” “Hermes,” “Lukas,” and other drones jointly deployed in the invasion by the US and Israel, along with dozens of cruise missiles. They took “timely and precise” actions before the enemy carried out its offensive operations. In operations carried out by the Army and Revolutionary Guard air defense units, multiple enemy fourth-generation and fifth-generation aircraft were struck, damaged, or crashed. Erhami said this achievement was due to the innovative application of advanced tactics, modernized equipment, and air defense systems, which left the enemy in confusion. (Source: PANews)
