So there's this wild story about Charlotte Fang and Remilia Corporation that's been circulating in the NFT community. The guy basically created one of the most iconic NFT collections ever with Milady Maker, then got absolutely canceled, and somehow bounced back stronger. It's honestly one of the most dramatic arcs in crypto.

Back in 2021, Charlotte Fang was experimenting with NFTs and dropped this meme coin-like series called Yayo that flopped hard. But then he pivoted to what he knew best - art. That's when Milady Maker happened. The collection launched in August 2021 with 10,000 neo-chibi cartoon characters on Ethereum, and it actually sold out. By April 2022, the floor price hit 1.55 ETH and everyone thought this was the next big thing.

Then everything went sideways. Turns out Charlotte Fang had an old Twitter account with some seriously problematic posts - racist, homophobic, white nationalist stuff. The community erupted, and the floor price crashed. Fang apologized and said it was all performance art and he didn't actually believe any of it. People were divided on whether to forgive him or not.

But here's where it gets interesting - Elon Musk tweeted about the Milady meme in May 2023, and suddenly the collection was back in favor. The floor price recovered and Milady Maker ended up becoming one of the top 3 most expensive 10k PFP collections. Even with all the baggage, the community stayed loyal.

Then Charlotte Fang dropped another project called $CULT as a meme coin. The FDV hit $845 million at launch, with 10 billion tokens total. The team allocated over half to the Cult fund, 15% to the team with an 18-month vesting schedule, and 20-35% to the Remilia treasury. Milady holders got an exclusive airdrop too.

Here's the reality check though - the latest data shows $CULT has completely tanked from those launch numbers. The price is basically at zero with a fully diluted valuation around $4.42M now. So much for that hype. It's a pretty stark reminder that even when you have a legendary founder like Charlotte Fang and an established community, meme coins can still collapse just as fast as they pump. The whole saga shows how volatile this space really is.
