Colleague.skill Ignites AI Humanization Trend, Related Discussions Surge on Social Media

On April 4, an open-source project named Colleague.skill has climbed to the trending list on GitHub, garnering over 6,800 stars in just three days. Concurrently, discussions surrounding it have surged on social media platforms. The logic behind this project is straightforward: as long as you have chat records from a former colleague on Feishu, documents on DingTalk, email screenshots, or even just a few voice messages converted to text from WeChat, along with your subjective descriptions, you can feed this information to the AI, which will generate a 1:1 replica of a ‘digital twin.’ It not only replicates the colleague’s knowledge base but, more importantly, it captures the colleague’s ‘soul.’ It writes code according to their technical standards, answers questions in their tone, and even knows when they would pass the buck. The core concept of AI humanization has resonated widely, leading to a plethora of derivative projects such as Ex.skill, Mentor.skill, Senior.skill, and Boss.skill, creating an ecosystem of ‘everything can be a Skill,’ reflecting a broad interest in using AI to encapsulate specific individuals’ knowledge, style, and relationships.
