Recently, I was reviewing Elon Musk's relationship with cryptocurrencies, and the truth is that it’s fascinating to see how this guy has shaped the market with his tweets and statements. The nickname “The Dogefather” didn’t come out of nowhere. But leaving the memes aside, the real question is: what cryptocurrencies does Musk actually have in his portfolio?

Let’s start with the obvious. Bitcoin was his first major move when Tesla announced in 2021 that it had made an investment of $1.5 billion. Although the company sold most of its holdings afterward, Musk confirmed that he personally still holds BTC. He understands Bitcoin as digital gold, a store of value. Today it’s hovering around $67 thousand, so it’s not a minor asset.

Then there’s Ethereum. He revealed it at the The ₿ Word conference in 2021. For Musk, ETH represents the real potential of blockchain beyond just being money. Smart contracts, DeFi, NFTs... all of that runs on Ethereum. It’s currently trading at around $2.05 thousand.

But if there’s one thing Musk doesn’t hide, it’s his love for Dogecoin. He literally calls it “the people’s cryptocurrency,” and he’s talked about using it in Tesla and SpaceX. DOGE is close to $0.09, with a positive move of 0.27% over the last 24 hours. The Dogecoin community is still incredibly active, and that’s part of what Musk sees in it.

Now, there’s a lot of speculation about other coins. Shiba Inu is the one that makes the most noise. Musk denies owning it, but his tweets about “Floki” and other dog-themed coins have caused significant movements in the market. Floki Inu, named after Musk’s Shiba dog, has also received attention, although there’s no clear evidence that Musk owns it.

What’s interesting is that Elon Musk’s influence on the cryptocurrency market goes beyond what he has in his portfolio. A simple tweet can move millions. Some see this as market power, others as proof that certain coins are too sensitive to speculation. In any case, it’s a phenomenon that nobody in the crypto space can ignore. If you’re following these moves, it’s worth keeping an eye on Gate to see how these assets behave in real time.
