An Iraqi Ministry of Defense-affiliated agency facility was attacked, resulting in 7 deaths.

The Iraqi Ministry of Defense said in a statement on the 25th that facilities belonging to its subordinate institutions in the western Iraqi province of Anbar were attacked the same day, with seven Iraqi soldiers killed and another 13 injured. The statement said that at 9:00 a.m. that day, the military medical facility at the Habaniyah base, under the Iraqi Ministry of Defense, and the Ministry of Engineering were hit by an airstrike. On-site search and rescue efforts are still ongoing. The statement also said that seriously violating international law and international conventions by targeting medical facilities and personnel, the Iraqi Ministry of Defense has the right to take necessary measures in accordance with the law to respond. In a statement issued the same day, the Iraqi militia group “Popular Mobilization Forces,” which is closely linked to Iran, said that the United States and Israel carried out a joint airstrike on the military medical facility at the Habaniyah base that day. The targeted location was the joint outpost of the “Popular Mobilization Forces” and the Iraqi armed forces, and the group “suffered material losses.” (Xinhua News Agency)
