I've noticed that many newcomers to trading platforms often get confused by the symbols used for data figures, so I want to share some basic knowledge about this.
On trading platforms, you'll frequently see symbols like 1K, 1M, 1E, or 1B. Each has its own meaning, and if you don't understand them clearly, it's easy to get confused when tracking prices or trading volume.
The simplest is 1K, which equals 1k units. Next is 1M, which stands for 1 million. The number 1E is 100 million, and 1B is 1 billion — this is quite important because you'll see it often in reports on trading volume or market capitalization. Finally, there's 1T, meaning one trillion, a huge number used for the largest projects or exchanges.
Understanding these symbols will help you read data on the platform more easily, especially when you're tracking large numbers or comparing different projects. I recommend memorizing them because they are really commonly used every day.
