NIO: Firefly will release a refreshed upgraded model on April 7

IT Home April 3 news: NIO’s firefly announced that the firefly firefly refresh upgrade launch event will be held on April 7. It is understood that for this round of refresh upgrade, the official will continue to provide upgrade plans for existing owners to ensure owners have a channel to align their experience with the refreshed models.

The official has not yet disclosed the upgrade details, and IT Home will continue to follow up. Since the first batch of deliveries began on April 29, 2025, the firefly has taken 11 months, and in late March this year it officially achieved 50k units delivered.

The firefly measures 400317811557mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2615mm. It is equipped with a standard-range 42kWh battery, with a CLTC combined range of 420km. In addition, the vehicle is fitted with a 105kW permanent-magnet synchronous motor (rear-wheel drive), with a maximum output torque of 200N・m and a top speed of 150km/h.

It is worth noting that on January 6 this year, NIO announced that its 1Mth production vehicle rolled off the line. Subsequently, NIO co-founder and President Qin Lihong summarized its operating plans for 2026: sell good cars, deliver good services, and build strong infrastructure.
