People’s Finance News, April 2—On April 2, the reporter learned today (the 2nd) from a special press conference on logistics standardization hosted by the State Administration for Market Regulation that logistics connects production and consumption, domestic trade and foreign trade, and is a foundational, strategic, and leading industry supporting the development of the national economy. During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, China has cumulatively issued 210 national standards in the field of logistics, making breakthroughs in multiple areas. First, standards for logistics pallets and crates have been centrally updated and upgraded. By issuing 13 standards, including flat pallets, sliding board pallets, and produce crates, it ensures that national standards align with international standards, and that detailed product standards and general method standards work in coordination. Second, national standards for multimodal transport are being accelerated to fill gaps. Through the sequential development and issuance of 16 national standards, such as multimodal transport cargo classification codes, transport volume calculations, and intermodal vehicles and waybills, the level of integrated multimodal transport coordination has been improved. In addition, the efforts to develop mandatory logistics standards are continuously being increased. It has promoted the formulation of 20 mandatory national standards, including green packaging for express delivery, limits on fuel consumption of commercial vehicles, and the transport of dangerous goods, effectively promoting technological innovation and strengthening logistics safety and emergency response capabilities.
