Türkiye's BIST 100 index rose 0.19% at Tuesday's opening, recovering from a 0.57% decline on Monday. The Turkish lira is trading at 44.4790 against the dollar, while gold and Brent crude prices hold steady.

(MENAFN) Türkiye’s benchmark equity index clawed back ground at Tuesday’s open, with the BIST 100 advancing 0.19%, or 24.24 points, to reach 12,650.59 points — partially recovering from the prior session’s losses.

The index had slipped 0.57% on Monday, settling at 12,626.35 points by the closing bell, as trading activity reached 109.6 billion liras — equivalent to approximately $2.46 billion — over the course of the session.

By 11:00 a.m. local time (08:00 GMT) on Tuesday, the Turkish lira was changing hands at 44.4790 against the US dollar, 51.0750 against the euro, and 58.8015 against the British pound.

On the commodities front, gold surged to $4,564.60 per ounce, while Brent crude futures held firm at $106.40 per barrel.
