Abstract generation in progress

On March 12, with construction of the western segment of the Shenzhen–Guangzhou Railway (Shenjiang) Shenyuan Tunnel driven by the “Kunpeng” tunnel boring machine, the excavation length has successfully broken through the 3,000-meter mark, achieving a key phased milestone for the project. This lays a solid foundation for the subsequent tunnel breakthrough and for the line to be completed and opened to traffic on schedule. According to Huang Jun, the person in charge of the shield tunneling work area for the China Railway 11th Bureau’s Shenzhen–Guangzhou Railway project, although the project has already made phased progress, the remaining sections still face challenges such as sudden geological changes and large variations in burial depth. Next, the project will comprehensively monitor the excavation progress, dynamically optimize excavation parameters, and strive to achieve full tunnel breakthrough as early as possible, so as to secure the initiative for subsequent track laying and post-station construction.
