I noticed an interesting trend: over the past month, Bitcoin has fallen more than 30%, and this has seriously affected its creator's wealth. According to Arkham Intelligence, a month ago, Satoshi's net worth was estimated at around $137 billion — making him the 11th richest person in the world, even surpassing Bill Gates. It sounds crazy, but that was the actual estimate.
Now, the situation has changed. Due to the drop in BTC price from its all-time high of $126,000 to the current $66,000–$67,000, the creator of Bitcoin's wealth has nearly halved — down to approximately $95.8 billion. Satoshi now ranks 20th on the list, behind Gates, who has about $104 billion. It may seem like a small difference, but for someone holding 1.1 million bitcoins, it’s quite significant.
What’s interesting is that all this fuels old theories that Satoshi might step out of the shadows at some point. Especially considering growing concerns about quantum computing. Some experts believe that when the network needs to be protected from quantum threats, decisions could be made that force the Bitcoin creator to reveal himself. That would be quite a turn of events.
