Gelonghui March 31 | To address the public’s “credit dilemma,” and to rebuild credit for individuals whose credit has been damaged but who are actively repaying, supporting the economy’s continued recovery and improvement, the People’s Bank of China issued a “one-time credit restoration policy” in December 2025. Today (March 31), this policy is about to expire. For individuals who meet the requirements (late payments occurring between 2020 and 2025, and each overdue amount ≤ 10,000 yuan), if they repay in full today, the overdue records in the credit reporting system will not be shown. Any overdue but unpaid debts will lose this restoration opportunity. Earlier, multiple banks have already issued frequent reminders, urging borrowers to repay as soon as possible.
