Some people seem to have strong communication skills, but in reality, they are not good at communicating. This is because communication is not just about language exchange, but more like an interaction of emotions and positions. Truly effective communication requires us to first enter the other person's "channel," using logic and language that they can understand, which is itself quite demanding. In reality, some people, even if they understand your point and even agree internally, will not admit it verbally because what they care about is not the correctness of the matter, but whether they have the upper hand. Since we already spend a lot of energy on work and life, there is no need to force communication with those unimportant relationships who always want to compete for victory or defeat. Maintaining a proper distance can actually make us feel more relaxed and at ease.
