Zhongke Haidai: Sodium-ion energy storage implemented in Guilin, Guangxi
Recently, a distribution-grid sodium-ion energy storage system with batteries supplied by CEC Marine Sodium has successfully connected to the grid and begun operating in Yongfu County, Guilin, Guangxi. The project uses CEC Marine Sodium’s self-developed polyanion sodium-ion battery. It represents the first large-scale application of sodium-ion batteries in Guangxi’s 10kV medium-voltage distribution network, and it is also another landmark engineering practice by the company in distribution-grid power quality management and distributed energy storage scenarios, providing a mature and reliable sodium battery solution for the development of a new power system.
