Recently, there have been more and more apps for making friends, but choosing the right one is really difficult. There are quite a few apps specifically for people who are purely looking to make friends, not for dating or marriage activities. I was curious about which ones are actually easy to use, including the ones I’ve tried myself, so I did some research.

Many of these apps are women-only. Favomatch, for example, is specialized for finding friends to support your favorite hobbies, and Touch has 24-hour monitoring to ensure safety. DotMatch features a timeline function that feels like social media, making it good for casual interactions.

For men, options like Bumble’s “BFF Mode,” Tantan, and Tinder also allow you to make friends of the opposite sex, expanding your choices. Especially, Bumble is attractive because of its low cost. However, when choosing an app to make friends, it’s definitely important to check if they have 24-hour monitoring and proper identity verification.

For people in their 30s and 40s, Somli seems to have many users in the same age group. Its search functions are also comprehensive, making it easier to find compatible people. If you’re looking for golf buddies, there are apps like GolWho, and there are also apps specialized for specific hobbies, so choosing based on your purpose is key.

Ultimately, what matters most in an app for making friends is whether there are users with the same goal and if safety measures are properly in place. Many apps also offer free features, so trying them out first might be a good idea.
