It was recently confirmed that there was a massive power outage in several parts of Mexico on February 25th. The CFE announced scheduled power cuts for maintenance work on the distribution network. In Culiacán, Sinaloa, eleven communities were without electricity during the day. Some areas like Tacuichamona, Walamito, and Las Estancias experienced interruptions of five hours between 09:00 and 14:00, while other localities such as Tepuchito and Tecolotes had four-hour outages. In La Paz, Baja California Sur, the power outage also affected communities like El Triunfo, Los Planes, and La Ventana, with service suspended from 12:00 to 15:00. The CFE recommended disconnecting sensitive devices before the outage and having alternative power sources on hand. To report outages or clarify doubts, the number 071 is available, operating 24 hours a day.
