People's Financial News, Dubai Media Office of the United Arab Emirates reported on March 31 that a Kuwaiti oil tanker moored off the coast of Dubai was attacked and set on fire early that morning. Dubai emergency response and firefighting personnel successfully extinguished the fire. The incident did not result in any casualties or oil spills. UAE media reported that Kuwait Petroleum Corporation confirmed that a supertanker named "Salerami" was attacked by an Iranian drone early that morning at the Dubai port anchorage, causing hull damage and a fire. Dubai emergency response and firefighting personnel successfully put out the fire. The incident caused no casualties and no crude oil leakage occurred. UAE media reported on the same day that Kuwait Oil Company confirmed that its ultra-large tanker named “Salemi” was attacked by an Iranian drone while anchored in the port of Dubai during the early hours of that day, causing damage to the hull and triggering a fire.
