Google says that a quantum attack on Bitcoin takes only 9 minutes with a 41% success rate.

Google's quantum team now states that cracking Bitcoin may require fewer than 500,000 qubits, which is much less than the "millions" previously assumed.

Research indicates that the attack could take 9 minutes, faster than the typical 10-minute confirmation window, resulting in a 41% success rate.

Google currently sets 2029 as the key deadline to update Bitcoin encryption before quantum becomes a real threat.
