So, I decided to research ways to mine cryptocurrencies for free because I was curious if it's possible to earn something decent without investing money. I found out there are several options out there, from software you download on your PC to apps for your phone.
The most well-known software includes Awesome Miner (which has been around since 2014), BetterHash for Windows users, and MinerGate, which runs on almost any system. The vibe of these programs is pretty similar: you download, install, and start mining. The cool part is that some automatically select the most profitable coin at the moment, like BetterHash does. If you want to focus only on Bitcoin, StormGain and ECOS are options, with StormGain even working on smartphones, which is very convenient.
There are also lighter options, like CryptoTab, which is a browser that mines while you surf the web, or PEGAPool, which is just an app on your phone to mine Ethereum. Kryptex promises to earn up to R$520 per month, but honestly, I think it varies a lot depending on your PC. And there's also EarnCrypto, which isn't exactly mining but lets you earn free cryptocurrencies by doing simple tasks like watching ads and taking surveys.
Now, real talk: most of these platforms for free cryptocurrency mining won't make you rich. The earnings are modest, and your PC will work hard. But if you have free time and want to test it out, it's worth a try. Just be careful with scams and suspicious platforms that ask for too much personal info. Always check the history, legitimacy, and security measures of the tool before using it. There are many scams out there pretending to be mining platforms.
