(MENAFN) A succession of blasts echoed across Iran’s capital while joint US-Israel assaults persisted, Iranian outlets reported on Sunday. A news agency indicated that detonations were observed in multiple districts throughout Tehran.

According to an Iran-based news outlet, several urban centers—including Isfahan, Tabriz, and Qom—were likewise struck during overnight operations.

Heightened regional tensions have continued to surge since Israel and the United States initiated a military campaign against Iran on Feb. 28, resulting in the deaths of more than 1,300 individuals so far, among them the then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In response, Iran has carried out counterattacks using drones and missiles aimed at Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations that host US military installations. These strikes have led to casualties, inflicted damage on infrastructure, and caused disruptions to global markets as well as aviation systems.
