The Shanghai Stock Exchange, Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and Beijing Stock Exchange announced the 2026 Qingming Festival holiday schedule, with trading suspension from April 4 to April 6. The Hong Kong Stock Connect service will be suspended from April 3 to April 7 and will resume normal operations on April 8.

The Shanghai Stock Exchange, the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and the Beijing Stock Exchange announced the 2026 Qingming Festival market holiday schedule on March 31: the market will be closed from April 4 (Saturday) to April 6 (Monday). Trading will resume as normal on Tuesday, April 7.

Specifically:

On the same day, the Shanghai Stock Exchange issued a notice on the trading day arrangements for the Stock Connect Southbound Trading under the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect during the 2026 Good Friday, Qingming Festival, and Easter periods. According to the “Notice on the Trading Day Arrangements for Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect Southbound Trading in 2026” (CITIC Trust [2025] No. 56), the following is the notice on the trading day arrangements for the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect Southbound Trading (short for “Stock Connect Southbound Trading”) during the 2026 Good Friday, Qingming Festival, and Easter periods:

I. From Friday, April 3 to Tuesday, April 7, no Stock Connect Southbound Trading service will be provided. Trading will resume as normal for Stock Connect Southbound Trading service starting on Wednesday, April 8.

II. For the clearing and settlement matters related to Stock Connect Southbound Trading, they will be handled in accordance with the arrangements of China Securities Depository and Clearing Co., Ltd.

The Shenzhen Stock Exchange released a notice on the trading day arrangements for Stock Connect Southbound Trading under the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect during the 2026 Hong Kong Good Friday, Qingming Festival, and Easter periods. According to the “Notice on Relevant Arrangements for Stock Connect Southbound Trading under Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect in 2026” (Chuangying [2025] No. 12), the following is the notice on the trading day arrangements for Stock Connect Southbound Trading under Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect (short for “Stock Connect Southbound Trading”) during the 2026 Hong Kong Good Friday, Qingming Festival, and Easter periods:

II. For the clearing and settlement matters related to Stock Connect Southbound Trading, they will be handled in accordance with the arrangements of China Securities Depository and Clearing Co., Ltd.
