Someone asked me, Brother Xin: I only have 2-3K USD. Can I turn things around in the crypto world?$BTC Yes. But don’t dream of going all-in and turning a million—that’s a TV drama. I once mentored a fan who had 2000 USD last year and came to me saying it was his last shot. I told him not to mess with fancy tricks, just follow the simplest approach. After three months, his account grew to over 30,000 USD. It’s not that he’s particularly smart; it’s that he finally followed the rules.
Step one: Small bets to test the waters. Don’t expect to eat everything at once. With 2000 USD, aim for about 10% per trade, only take the top two coins, and always set take-profit and stop-loss orders. What if you make a profit? Double your money from 100 to 200 USD, then continue with that 200 USD. But remember one rule: after three consecutive wins, stop. Why? Because luck is a tricky thing—when you’re winning streaking, you’re most likely to get careless and give it all back.
What if you lose? Just stop. If you lose 100 USD, you still have 200 USD left—your life is still on.
Step two: When your capital exceeds 10,000 USD, then start strategizing. At this stage, you can take some risks, but don’t go crazy. I usually divide my trades into three parts: invest 200 USD each time, and if I make a profit, I exit. But this method only involves Bitcoin and Ethereum, focusing on swing trading on the 4-hour chart. Keep your position light; a 50-100% return is enough. Gradually accumulate, don’t rush.
Trend-following is where the real money is. But the prerequisite is that you can understand the trend. If you can’t, don’t touch it. Even if you can, you need to calculate the risk-reward ratio carefully—anything below 3:1, don’t do it.
Finally, honestly: $BTC $ETH I’ve seen stories of turning 2-3K USD into hundreds of thousands USD, but I’ve also seen many more cases where 2-3K USD went to zero. What’s the difference? It’s not luck; it’s whether you can control your impulses.
