In addition, five ETFs, including the Sci-Tech Innovation chip ETF Harvest (588200), the chemical industry ETF (159870), and the non-ferrous metal ETF (512400), also saw their first-half trading value exceed RMB 1 billion. For cross-border ETFs, the S&P oil and gas ETF Harvest (159518) surged significantly higher today on higher volume, with its first-half trading value as high as RMB 6.705 billion.
In terms of the ETF gainers list, today the entire new energy sector surged. The battery ETF, the energy storage battery ETF, the solar PV ETF, and the new energy ETF all rose by around 5%. Among them, the battery ETF performed more strongly overall. Two related ETFs’ first-half gains exceeded 5.5%, placing them among the top performers.
From an investment logic perspective, downstream lithium battery applications are developing toward diversification. At present, the entire solid-state system is in the industrial pilot-line implementation stage. New material system segments, such as solid-state electrolytes, new anode materials, and new equipment-related processes including dry mixing, pressing (“Kun” pressing), fiber formation, adhesive frame printing, and isostatic pressing, offer greater room for upside.
