Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior has reiterated its commitment to school safety rules and guidelines in ensuring the security of children and students in Qatar.

This comes as educational institutions across the country resume in-person learning tomorrow, Sunday, March 29, 2026.

In a social media post, the Ministry highlighted the importance of using designated pedestrian crossings to cross the roads safely. It further advised children to adhere to road markings and make sure the road is clear before crossing.

The ministry noted that drivers are expected to slow down when driving near schools, not to use mobile phones while driving and to refrain from using horn in a way that may disturb others.

To ensure safety inside the bus, students and children are further advised to board and exit the bus in an orderly manner, not tamper with bus windows, refrain from using emergency exit handles without necessity and are implored to cooperate with the bus supervisor.

The MOI had also outlined operational guidelines for school bus drivers to ensure safety of students in case of emergencies or exceptional circumstances.
