Recently, the owner of Room 101, Unit 2, Building 1 in the Lanbo New District of Xigu District hurried into the Lanbo East Community on Xianfeng Road, with a look of anxiety on their face. The resident of Room 201 upstairs had a water leak in their home, causing the ceiling and wall plaster in her unit to fall off, and the water seepage in the bathroom has significantly affected her daily life.

After understanding the situation, community staff quickly responded, immediately contacting the owner of Room 201 to explain the reported leak from downstairs and arranged to go to the site together for inspection.

With the coordination of community staff, both parties conducted a site inspection together. Upon on-site investigation, it was confirmed that the source of the leak indeed came from the owner of Room 201, causing inconvenience to the downstairs resident’s life.

Faced with the neighborly conflict caused by the water leak, community staff patiently organized communication and negotiation between both parties. The staff first calmed the emotions of the owner of Room 101, understanding the losses incurred due to the leak. At the same time, they explained in detail to the owner of Room 201 the impact of the leak, discussed the responsibilities and obligations that should be undertaken in neighborly relations, and emphasized the importance of timely repairs to prevent the escalation of conflicts.

After communication and coordination, the owner of Room 201 voluntarily expressed apologies to the downstairs resident and promised on the spot to contact professional repair personnel within two days to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the waterproof system in their home, thoroughly eliminating the risk of leaks. The other party stated that they would also strengthen daily maintenance in the future to avoid similar situations from happening again.
