Breaking: U.S. military forces in the Middle East surpass 50,000, Trump openly states he wants to "seize Iranian oil"

According to The New York Times, U.S. troop deployments in the Middle East have exceeded 50,000, an increase of about 10,000 from usual, with hundreds of special operations forces (including Army Rangers and Navy SEALs) already in the theater.
However, military experts warn: Iran's area is nearly one-third of the U.S. mainland, with a population of 93 million—occupying such a "large, complex, and well-armed country" with 50,000 troops is unfeasible. Ground operations may be limited to special forces raids.
On the same day, Trump gave an interview to the Financial Times and made a candid statement:
"Honestly, my favorite thing is to seize Iran’s oil, but some fools in the U.S. say, ‘Why would you do that?’ But they are just fools."
Trump indicated that he does not rule out occupying Iran’s oil export hub, Hormuz Island (from which 90% of the country’s crude oil is exported), and said, "We can very easily take it."
Meanwhile, Trump revealed that the U.S. and Iran are making "good progress" through indirect negotiations via Pakistan, with Iran agreeing to allow 20 oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. However, the U.S. and Iran have not yet held direct talks.
Key contradiction: on one hand, deploying 50,000 troops and considering seizing oil and islands; on the other hand, claiming that negotiations are "progressing smoothly"—the next move in this chess game remains unclear.
