China donates a new batch of medical supplies to Madagascar

On the 24th, a donation ceremony for medical supplies from China to Madagascar was held in Madagascar’s capital, Antananarivo. It was introduced that under the China-Africa counterpart hospital cooperation mechanism, this batch of medical supplies was donated by the First Hospital of Lanzhou University to Anoushira Hospital in Madagascar, including a digital X-ray imaging system, multi-parameter monitors, ultrasonic nebulizers, blood gas analyzers, and more, for use in the hospital’s respiratory medicine clinical diagnosis and treatment. Ephraim Stefanon Landrianyanbina, Secretary General of the Madagascar Ministry of Public Health, expressed gratitude for the selfless assistance from the Chinese government and the dedication of the Chinese medical team in Madagascar. The two countries have always conducted medical and health cooperation based on mutual trust, respect, and unity, and this donation ceremony demonstrates their determination to continue deepening cooperation. Ji Ping, the Chinese Ambassador to Madagascar, stated that since 1975, the Chinese medical team in Madagascar has been standing by the local people, overcoming difficulties together and making an indelible contribution to the development of the local medical and health sector. This donation of medical supplies not only enhances the level of medical and health cooperation between China and Madagascar but also indicates both countries’ firm confidence in bilateral cooperation. China will continue to strengthen communication and collaboration with Madagascar and actively promote the construction of the China-Madagascar counterpart hospital cooperation mechanism, exploring more practical cooperation in the field of medical and health services.
