Source: Shanghai Securities Journal · China Securities Network
Shanghai Securities Journal China Securities Network News (Qian Jiaying, Reporter Zhong Qian) On March 20, Haicheng Co., Ltd.'s intelligent manufacturing supply chain base and Corning’s East China logistics distribution center officially opened in Wujiang District, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. It is reported that this base will focus on smart logistics, leveraging technologies such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things to create an integrated intelligent manufacturing supply chain service platform that encompasses operations, integration, and equipment.
The reporter learned that Haicheng Co., Ltd. has been cooperating with Corning for 13 years, having previously established logistics distribution centers for Corning in Hefei and Zhuzhou to provide supply chain operation services. The new base in Wujiang District, Suzhou, focuses on providing services to customers in the East China region.
With a solid foundation in materials science fields such as specialty glass, ceramics, and optical physics, Corning has been rooted in the Chinese market for over 40 years, primarily serving industries such as display technology, communication networks, new energy vehicles, and biomedicine. Over the past 13 years, the cooperation between Haicheng Co., Ltd. and Corning has gradually expanded from the life sciences sector to include mobile consumer electronics, automotive, and optical communication sectors.
Public information shows that Haicheng Co., Ltd. specializes in advanced manufacturing production logistics solutions, mainly targeting customers in industries such as consumer electronics and new energy vehicles, constructing an end-to-end comprehensive service system that includes raw material warehousing, on-site logistics, finished product delivery, trunk and short-haul transportation, and export consolidation.
At the opening ceremony, Haicheng Co., Ltd. showcased a number of core technological achievements, including the independently developed OHT overhead transporter and the logistics humanoid robot “Aura” developed in collaboration with partners.
It is reported that Haicheng Co., Ltd. has gradually formed a dual-driven strategic direction of intelligent logistics and high-end equipment manufacturing over the past two years. To accelerate the contribution of the high-end equipment manufacturing sector to the company’s development, Haicheng Co., Ltd. is focusing on the semiconductor industry, providing customers with semiconductor automated material handling system (AMHS) equipment, including overhead cranes, automated guided vehicles, lifters, and intelligent storage cabinets, in response to the new handling needs generated by the increasing size of semiconductor chips.
In addition, to promote the intelligence of logistics equipment, Haicheng Co., Ltd. will establish the Haicheng Artificial Intelligence Research Institute and the Robotics Research Institute in 2025 to accelerate the industrial application of AI technology in areas such as predictive scheduling, digital twins, and multi-agent collaboration. Currently, the company is focusing on researching the application scenarios of cutting-edge technologies such as humanoid robots in automated warehouses, creating Haicheng’s “domain intelligence”.
Liang Chen, Chairman of Haicheng Co., Ltd., stated that the company is currently transitioning from a supply chain logistics service provider to a comprehensive intelligent manufacturing supply chain service provider that outputs intelligent equipment manufacturing and overall solutions. In the future, the company will continue to strengthen the core competitiveness of domestic high-end logistics equipment, supporting the autonomy and controllability of the industrial chain and supply chain.
