The most outrageous thing in the office isn't overtime, it's rumor spreading.


Yesterday, I became the main character.
Just picking up a pen can be spun into doing something strange, and that feeling is quite absurd.
But when I calm down and think about it, it's actually normal.
Because without evidence, anyone can make up stories.
Many problems in the real world are like this.
If you do something and leave no "verifiable record,"
then it's as if it never happened.
No matter what others say, it's hard to refute.
That's also why many disputes end up turning into shouting matches.
It's not about who is right or wrong, but who can tell the story better.
So now I increasingly feel that one thing is very important:
It's not what you did, but whether you can prove you did it.
When records start to matter more than words, many things become simpler.
