Medical device firm Stryker is restarting production lines two weeks after a cyberattack, allegedly by Iranian actors, wiped data from over 200,000 company devices. While the company initially denied malware involvement, a recent update confirmed that a malicious file was used to run commands and hide attacker activity. Stryker, with assistance from Palo Alto Networks’ Unit 42, is restoring systems and assures customers that their technology was not compromised, despite the attack impacting internal corporate Microsoft systems and temporarily affecting emergency medical care in some Maryland hospitals.
