On March 27 local time, U.S. President Trump spoke with Indian Prime Minister Modi regarding the situation in the Middle East, with American entrepreneur Elon Musk also participating. It is uncommon for a private entrepreneur without a government position to be involved in conversations between national leaders, especially when the discussion touches on national security issues. It is reported that the call primarily focused on the escalation of the situation in the Middle East, particularly concerning Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz. This strait is a critical passage for global oil and gas transportation, and the current shipping disruptions have led to rising energy prices and impacted global markets. It remains unclear why Musk participated in the call or if he spoke during the conversation. Allegedly, Musk has investments in Middle Eastern countries and is also seeking to expand his business presence in the Indian market. Analysts believe this move also indicates a thawing of the relationship between Musk and Trump. The two had previously experienced differences after Trump left his government position, but their relationship has reportedly improved recently. (CCTV News)
