On March 20, the administrative penalty information disclosed by the Zhanjiang Regulatory Bureau of the National Financial Supervision and Administration revealed that Sunshine Agricultural Mutual Insurance Company Zhanjiang Branch had the following main illegal activities: inflating the insured area and premiums for rice; repeatedly insuring the same plots of land; using business conveniences to seek improper benefits for other institutions; and paying handling fees to individuals who did not provide agricultural co-insurance services. The company was fined a total of 720,000 yuan by the Zhanjiang Regulatory Bureau of the National Financial Supervision and Administration, and the responsible individuals Li Shuhai and Xie Zhongming were warned and fined a total of 100,000 yuan and 10,000 yuan, respectively.
