Iran's Supreme Leader Advisor Reiterates Conditions for Ending the War

Iran’s newly appointed military advisor to the Supreme Leader, Mohsen Rezaei, emphasized in an interview broadcast on Iranian state television on March 23 that Iran will only cease hostilities once it has received all compensations, all economic sanctions are lifted, and it obtains international legal guarantees against U.S. interference in Iranian affairs. Rezaei also stressed that the dispute between Iran and the U.S. is not limited to the current conflict or the U.S.-Israeli attacks on Iran last June, but has persisted for 47 years since the victory of the Iranian Islamic Revolution in 1979, and it must be “resolved.” (CCTV International News)
