Zhang Yi will serve as Co-Head of Investment Banking for JPMorgan Chase China this summer.

According to media reports, an internal memo from JPMorgan shows that JPMorgan has hired Zhang Yi, the managing director of Goldman Sachs’ investment banking division, as Co-Head of China Investment Banking. He will join JPMorgan this summer. A JPMorgan spokesperson has confirmed the contents of the memo.

Zhang Yi joined Goldman Sachs in 2007 and was promoted to managing director in 2017. According to his LinkedIn profile, Zhang Yi earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Renmin University of China in 2002 and a master’s degree in finance from Peking University in 2004.
