Hong Kong stocks take a beating on both sides

Remember a few years ago, when the US dollar appreciated and the Chinese yuan depreciated, the Hengke Index plummeted; now that the yuan appreciates and the dollar depreciates, the Hengke Index hasn't shown much improvement. How should we approach this question?

I remember in previous years when the U.S. dollar appreciated and the Chinese yuan depreciated, the Hang Seng Index plummeted; now that the yuan is appreciating and the dollar is depreciating, the Hang Seng Index hasn’t shown much improvement either. How should this problem be approached?
